Mark Brown
friend, best man

"Brownie" and Suge have been through the trenches together, going way back to the beginnings of their illustrious basketball careers. As early as eighth grade, the two went head-to-head during NJB All-Net basketball games (Suge never lost, Brownie's coach always got ejected). Just a few years later, they would star together on the freshman and JV teams at Mater Dei. The two went on to highlight the most famous senior night in the dynasty's history, leading MD on a 12-0 run to put Servite out of its misery before the All-Americans took the floor. Suge and Brownie culminated their careers by winning the California state championship on 3/17/01 and making the cover of the L.A. Times sports section together. The two have been roommates in Dana Point since January '06, living at the Condo down at Strands beach. Brownie has played the role of Best Man before, but this wedding marks the first stop on his national speaking tour. Suge's always been a numbers guy, so I guess it's fitting he chose a CPA to head up the wedding party.
Bryan Crooke
friend

Crooke, as he's known to the general public, has been reeling it in with Suge since 1987. The son of a former Marlin world record holder, Crooke made an angler out of Suge before long. The two have been catching lizards on Snoopy poles since kindergarten; some things never change. If you talk to Crooke at the wedding, be sure to ask him about a certain Boise State / Oklahoma game he was at.
Jon Daze
friend

Daze and Suge met in high school, where the two played volleyball together and twice went to the CIF finals. Daze is well known around the SoCal volleyball scene, having coached in Laguna Beach for years. More recently, Daze has blossomed into an international phenom on the European volleyball scene. He was a U.S. Ambassador in Denmark, sweeping the Scandinavian girls off their feet. Ladies, you can only pray that this man's available.
Sean Dietterle
friend

Dietterle and Suge became friends at Mater Dei, where the two played basketball together and goofed off in trigonometry. A raging party animal, Dietterle went from throwing ice cream socials at his parents' Fullerton home to doing keg stands at St. Mary's in Moraga. A wild child at heart, in '01 Dietterle went nearly six months without shaving or getting a haircut. Although he's an auditor today, this wedding may bring out more of that wild side.
Greer Illingworth
friend

Greer and J.P. met back in first grade, and the two were in Scouts together since Tiger Cubs. They've camped and backpacked all over California together, and in '00 they both became Eagle Scouts. In college, the two worked at Toyota's national headquarters together as interns. More recently, Greer has worked in Congress back in Washington, D.C., and he's turning heads over at Pepperdine Law. According to the Daily Variety, network producers are talking to Illingworth about a starring role in the hit series JAG.
Mark Kolich
friend

Mark and J.P. met at LMU, where the two rowed together on the crew team. As "novices," they traveled up and down the coast and rowed in many a memorable regatta. For a couple years the two ended up as college roommates. Kolich was always there to fix computer issues, so it's no surprise he's the one managing this website. After college, Mark and J.P. did more traveling together. The two have been to the Winter Olympics, and they even climbed Mount Whitney together in a single day.
Nick Miller
friend

Miller and Suge always knew each other in high school, but they were part of different circles. After college, the two found themselves partying together down in South O.C., and it turned out they should've been hanging out all along. The two have been roommates in Dana Point since '06, with countless bonfire stories to remember. Some might jokingly call it a "Jack & Ennis" relationship. Make no mistake: if you find yourself sippin' a Bohemia on the sand down in Laguna, Suge and Miller probably aren't far away.
Jay Nichols
friend

Jay and J.P. go all the way back to 1986, when cowboys and indians ravaged the Turtle Rock community of Irvine. With bloodlines traced to John Wayne and Davy Crockett, it's no surprise these two used to run around with coonskin caps and Winchesters. Jump ahead 20 years and the two are still like brothers, partying down at Point Loma and reminiscing about the good old days. You'll find Nichols at the wedding with a Jack and Coke in hand ... ask him about life as a Trojan in Longhorn territory.
